Green Style: Jes Anthonis' Looking Glass Studio

This wonderful "Looking Glass Studio" comes courtesy of Jes Anthonis of Mosey Handmade. The house was made almost entirely of salvaged windows and glass doors. The roof is corrugated tin and fiberglass from an old chicken coop, and the slate and cobblestone floors were sourced from a local quarry and salvaged from a downtown Portland street that was torn up. Most of the windows came from an old post office building. See more at Mosey Handmade's Flickr page. Thanks for sharing, Jes!

Love this as well. It reminds of this house in Kopenhagen's Christiana district: http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1431/1244185274_02f8c02ed7.jpg

This looks awesome for a warmer climate, but can you imagine the heating bills??

You know it was built with south-east exposure, so it gets a ton of passive solar heat. We also have a woodstove for the chilly chilly Maine winters!
