Green Style: Singapore Terrace House by Ong and Ong

tree-garden.jpg

This terrace house in Singapore was recently renovated to allow for light and natural ventilation. A large "void" was placed in the middle of the house (complete with tree!) to divide the home into two sections, connected with a series of platforms over a pool. Can you imagine?

"Honey, dinner!"

"Okay! Just let me walk across our interior pool with its crystal clear water and past the huge tree in our living room."

Bad idea if you had kids, but it looks stunning - do you have any more pics? I can see this kind of thing working really well here in Melbourne - it gets hot enough in January/February that having even a small pool to splash about in is nice (having said which, I want a fish/frog pond & veggie garden!).

Well, if you have kids why not put up a glass divider? Then you still have the stunning view without injuries... Looks great by the way!
