Green or Not: Future Friendly Products?

future friendly.jpg

Future Friendly's tag is: "When I choose Future Friendly Products, I can help contribute to a greater good. That's because each Future Friendly Product is designed to either help me use less energy, have less packaging or create less waste. It's all part of a belief that, together, we can take small steps that can make a difference."

The products they promote include Cascade ("With Cascade® ActionPacs I get sparkling clean dishes even in the energy-saving cycle"), Tide ("When I wash my clothes in cold water I can save energy"), Charmin ("With Charmin® Mega Roll I get the same number of sheets as 4 regular Charmin rolls combined"), and Bounty ("With Bounty® Select-a-Size I get sheets that are 45% smaller than regular Bounty sheets, but stronger when wet than a full sheet of the next leading two-ply").

Hey Procter people, you need to reword your Single-Minded Propositions before you use them in marketing copy. Oh, and spell your company's name correctly at the bottom of your website.

This is the definition of 'greenwashing'.
'Buy our GREEN products, but ignore the animal testing and deforestation of third world countries we are doing over there!'
