EcoSmart fireplaces are flueless and are fueled by denatured alcohol (a renewable source of energy that burns clean). But we were skeptical: "Are they really warm?" we asked COO Rainer Heimann. He invited us to get right up close to one of the models.

Yep, nice and toasty.

We're actually sort of in love with these now. The designer ranges come in bright colors or wood (as pictured), so they'd work with a lot of design aesthetics. They're perfect for an apartment that doesn't have a built-in fireplace.
