What's jacking up the price -- other than the trendy look -- isn't the front-loading or the Energy Star rating (Sears has lots of alternatives with those features for one-third that price or less) but features like steam cleaning and timed oxy-cleaner release.

My "not" vote is based on the machine's size. I'm not interested in a king-sized washing machine.

I would vote "no" due to the large size. Have anyone seen good research on energy efficient apt-size (aka stacking)washer/dryers?
