The "green-ness" of it REALLY depends on the consumer. Plastic = LONG use with virtually unlimited life. Falling into the right hands, it's "grass" appearance would make it greener in water consumption, energy consumption (mowing), etc., for those who have a yard; and a fun addition to those who aren't blessed with a green patch of their own for many years. In the wrong hands however, it'd end up in a landfill a month after purchased and then, no... it'd be a horrible probably toxic waste... but we wouldn't want any of the responsibility, would we? So let's just look the other way and call IT un-green.
