According to Brazilian environmental group, SOS Mata Atlantica, eliminating one toilet flush a day can save 1,157 gallons of water per year.
While the hygiene of this tactic is debatable, we know some people do this, whether it's for the environment or not. But our question is, how do you work out the timing for this?

I'm curious as to why there would be a hygiene problem, as you stated. If there is bacteria in your urine, then you have a UTI and would be slowly getting sick. Urine is for the most part sterile.

ditto. pee is mostly nitrogenous waste and salts. it's certainly no more toxic than most of the things people use to clean their bathrooms.

A lot less toxic than most any bath product honestly. A survey of young American men/women said that over 80% pee in the shower with regularity.
