It's Onzo -- another gadget that can tell you the amount of energy you are using (and wasting) in your home. One you have that information, you can work on improving that big old carbon footprint.

If I am using that energy, then how is it waste? My computer is using energy right now to respond to this post. Perhaps that's a waste. Perhaps all your readers could save that energy by not visiting this site.

If you've access to your electric meter, there are websites which will teach you how to read it. And without yet another single-use plastic gadget.

The electric companies should buy a batch and loan them out to consumers for evaluation of their pre- and post- energy use. There needs to be more sharing of things that are not used often, i.e. lawn mower sharing among neighbors. People need to STOP buying stuff. Stuff is bad! Use what you have and see if your friends/family/co-workers/acquaintances/neighbors have what you need if it's only a once-in-a-while thing.
