
The ecobutton. Its creators say its a visual reminder to power down your computer -- plug it into a USB port and it lights up, and then when you leave your desk for any extended amount of time, push it and it will send your computer into power-save mode.
Something you're probably capable of doing without a big plastic button ... But maybe something you forget to do on a regular basis?

Wouldn't this draw additional power while you are using your computer? And why do you need to have a large button to put you computer on standby? I don't see why this would be any advantage over just using the Start menu. I'm also curious where they are made. Unfortunately, their site doesn't include this info.

plus you can set your computer to go into sleep mode after x minutes of being idle...that way you wouldn't have to remember...
