Hot or Not? Trio Dish Drier by Jordan Bailey

4-14-2009dishes.jpgWe've seen this general idea before: Let the water dripping off of your drying dishes irrigate some plants. In this case, herbs.
Read all about it here, then vote.

Love the idea, hate this version of it.

Yeah, I also love the idea but the execution of it seems a little bulky... who wants to mount their ugly drying dishes on the wall? And what if the soil leaks down onto the counter? I don't know... I just came up with this very simple solution when I was doing my 366-day challenge:

It requires a dishwasher, but I'm sure one could improvise with a standard drying rack and some supports.

I am surprised by how many people thought it is "hot" - it is messy, and I bet it won't produce enough to justify the hassle of having it around.

in the picture it all looks pristine clean and neat. Reality will certainly be different.

I like my plants in pots or in the garden outside. Dish racks are made for dishes :-)
