The article was interesting but I was surprised not to see a recommendation to keep your fridge and freezer full for maximum efficiency. Maybe that isn't true? I've heard it many times, but I am not good at following the advice.
I'm also not so sure about buying a new one to replace the old. Mine is about 11 years old, and I know I could buy a more efficient one but does that balance the resources used to make the new one, not to mention the one I disposed of (even in the most responsible way possible)?
