Just when you thought you had enough reusable bags to choose from, along comes flip & tumble's reusable bag.
Yes, it looks sort of like a toy you might buy for Fido; but, it is a bag that solves the critical reusable bag problem.

We're always getting halfway to the store and realizing that we left our bags at home. It's frustrating and we are getting better at it -- but we'd never have that problem with these bags ($15), which fold up small enough to fit in a purse.
They remind us of Popples (do we date ourselves?) and that's sort of charming.
We don't really need any, as our Trader Joe's versions work just fine, but we're definitely thinking they might make nice stocking stuffers!

Three times the cost of my brand of reusable bags, each of which folds into its one stuff sack with a clip on the end to attach to one's other bag. Smaller than my cell phone, about 1/2 to 2/3 the size of these from the looks of the hand model.
Brand....Reisen-something....hmm, I'd better check that out.

I've got two Chico bags which sound exactly like what you describe, Nora Rocket. They're not as cute as these, but I keep them smashed into my purse so who cares what they look like.

Nora Rocket,
I think you might be talking about the Envirosax bags, which is what I have. Each pouch holds 5 huge tote bags rolled up, and each rolled up tote is, like you said, smaller than a cell phone. The pouch has the clip which is great to attach to the shopping cart or purse or coat, etc.. I keep mine in the glove compartment which is great... and at $35 (including shipping) for 5 totes, they are much more cost effective (and prettier, in my op). This is the set I have, but there are 3 other sets as well:

Nora Rocket--you're talking about the Reisenthel. I've got two in my purse right now. Love them!

They're very nice, but, with IKEA selling their big blue bags at $0.59 a piece, it's hard to find a reason to look anywhere else. :)
That's cheap enough to buy 5-10 of them, ensuring you always have one handy, and still come out ahead.

Kris, unless I'm thinking of something different, IKEA's $0.59 bags are HUGE, and don't fold up particularly small. They're great for car-based grocery shopping, or even foot-based if you're going from home for the explicit purpose of doing a huge haul. But they're definitely not something to keep on your person for after work errands...
