This is a green escape we've been dreaming of ever since we heard a friend mention "Treebones." We didn't know where it was or what it was, we just liked the sound of the word.
As it turns out, we like the view even better.

Treebones Resort is located in Big Sur, Ca. But this isn't your typical resort -- don't expect free in-room HBO or a glitzy lobby -- Treebones is a collection of yurts sprinkled along the cliffs that rise up out of the Pacific Ocean along Highway 1.

The views are obviously breathtaking and would be enough to warrant a week-long stay; however, Treebones also offers a number of Eco-Adventures. They're the perfect way to get out and really appreciate the beauty of Big Sur.
One yurt, with a full ocean view and a queen bed is $185 a night. (And, if you can hold out for January or February -- whale-watching season -- the rates are reduced by 20%). We'd book now if we were you!

I heard about this place from a post at 101 Cookbooks and have been plotting a trip since then. It's totally my dream honeymoon spot.
