BPA-Free Gift: Guyot's Firefly

We know that camping season is just about over, and Escapes month is long gone, but we still thought this smart little gadget merited a mention. It's a little early to talk about stocking stuffers, but this could make a great gift for the outdoor enthusiast in your family.

It's the Firefly by Guyot ($21.95), a lid that will turn your BPA-free widemouth water bottle into a lantern. An LED light sealed into the lid sends light through the bottle and you can use it just as you would use a lantern. For someone who doesn't already have a lantern, this is a fantastic idea -- or for backpackers trying to lighten their load.

We're curious about the quality of light (Guyot's web site says: "it has variable light levels so you can have a nightlight for stormy nights, or a reading light for enjoying your latest read.") Has anyone tried this product?
