Apartment Therapy Re-Nest

On the heels of such lively feedback on an old post from Danielle, on the Pin Light, here's another light design to sink your teeth into. It's not much really -- you provide your own shade.

The kit consists of a stainless steel adapter ring, a socket for the light bulb, and a cable on the other end to plug into the wall. After dispatching of the contents of a tin can, open both sides and stick the hardware into one end.

To our knowledge, the Tin Light Kit isn't available for purchase, but the instructions for DIY are practically in the description of the design. Maybe you've even done it before?
