We can now count Target as a supplier of great living wreaths along with one of our favorites, vivaterra. We bought our Christmas tree at the Target in Culver City and spied these little gems in the garden center. They're pretty and compact and, of course, alive. What we especially love is that once the season is over we can plant these in our garden, give away cuttings to our friends or just keep the wreath alive for as long as we want.

This has my name on it--last week my retired father came over with my mom for lunch and said "your plants need water" for the ones on my north deck. This is his big love, watering plants on his patio, etc. I on the other hand feel like saying, "They have to fend for themselves--they get what the atmosphere brings them. They are about 500 feet from the ocean, fer cryin' out loud! The other side is about 1000 ft from a marina. We're on a penisula, plants, toughen up!" But what I did say to Dad was, "OK, I'll water them tomorrow."
