400 Square-Foot Home by Reclaimed Space

8-15-2009reclaimedspace.jpgA 250 square-foot condo might be a bit too small for us ... but a 400 square foot home from Austin-based Reclaimed Space? We think we could do it.

Reclaimed Space is taking old wood from dilapidated barns and abandoned houses and turning it into cozy, eco-friendly 400 square-foot homes. We think they're gorgeous.

The home pictured above made it's debut at Dwell on Design in Los Angeles in June. Reclaimed Space co-founders, Tracen Gardner and Kimber Reed-Barber, hauled it all the way from Austin on the back of a truck. After the conference, they sold the house on E-bay for $75,000 — $10,000 of which was donated to Habitat for Humanity.
