Inspiration: Squint Limited's Colorful Patchwork Furniture

We've blogged Squint's Patchwork furniture before on AT:NY where its unique designs cover our favorite Egg Chair, and the contrast between modern lines and traditional crafting converge to create something fresh. Don't knock Squint's more traditional pieces, though, even if you think you're all about clean lines...

Consider the fresh appeal of an over-sized, over-stuffed comfortable chair, upholstered in a patchwork of scrap fabric, in an otherwise clean and streamlined setting... and you have the makings of a room that's uniquely of-the-moment.

These pieces out of your price range?

Try patchwork in smaller doses: toss a patchwork throw over the arm of a mid-century sofa, a patchwork pillow on your Egg Chair, fold a patchwork blanket at the end of an white and crisp bed and you have something that's very appealing. It doesn't hurt that patchwork is a craft whose appeal comes, at least partially, from its creative reuse of scrap fabric. For more on Squint, click here.

I am in love! Urban Outfitters used to have this fabulous patchwork chair that I wanted but could never afford. When I finally sold some stock, they'd discontinued it.
