Simple, cheap and not bad looking. Not to mention putting wire hangers, of which you no doubt have oodles, to good use.

We saw this idea by Ana Maria of SuperZiper (whose blog is in Portuguese) on Craft and were struck by what a simply good idea it was. Ana uses it near her door to hold library books and we can think of lots of other landing strip uses - scarves, a folder of outgoing mail, magazines, etc. Or how about next to a child's bed to hold the book du jour.
What uses can you think of? Let us know if you try it out.
So simple and brilliant!
I ran out and made one myself just now, only to realize afterward that I don't need any extra space for books. However, I hung it on a doorknob and found it's great as a clothes rack, too!
I know, it's not too far from it's original function, but it's much more stable and carries way more clothes than a regular wire hanger.
Meanwhile, SuperZiper links to a picture with the title, "50 ways to use your hangers" (!) that's apparently from Topshop, but it only shows up to #5. Anyone know where to get the rest of the article?
