Look! Ikea Recycling Center

Ikea "greening" may not be big news to some of you, but tucked in a corner just past the check outs at our local Ikea was a recycling center we hadn't ever seen before. The spot gives you a place to recycle your compact fluorescent lights, batteries and even your regular light bulbs (the sign reads, "Why not?").

CFLs and batteries contain heavy metals that shouldn't be thrown out with the regular trash...we're glad to know of one more place that will help us keep them out of the regular trash.

I have a bag of old batteries (all shapes & sizes) & old CFLs in the trunk of my car for the next time I go to IKEA.
