Look! Use-By Magnets from Japan

10_9_2008-useby1.jpgWe're not the best at remembering what's in the depths of the fridge, so we were excited when a friend gave us these super cute magnets...

10_9_2008-useby2.jpgThere's one each for beef, pork, chicken, fish, and egg. You write expiration dates on them with a dry-erase marker—so you then have a visual reminder of what's in the fridge. That should reduce the time you spend staring into a open fridge (and wasting energy), and the amount of food that spoils because it is simply forgotten.

We've been meaning to implement a reminder system of some sort, but these are much more fun (and kawaii) than the whiteboard list of dates we had in mind.

How do you keep track of what's in the fridge? Also, we're trying to hunt down an online source for these to pick up a few more... there must be one out there somewhere. Do you know where to look?

Thanks, Daniela!

So cute! I'll look online, too. Because not only do I need a set, but I need to give some sets away at Christmas, too!

I'm pretty sure I've seen those at Daiso, but I don't know where you'd find them online.
