Green and itch-free! Natural fiber insulation seems like a great green-alternative to the chemically enhanced fiberglass. Bonded Logic's UltraTouch Denim insulation is fire-retardant, mold-retardant, made of 85% post-industrial waste and insulates against heat and noise! Why wouldn't you use it? Via inhabitat. —aaron

Interestingly, my boyfriend and I just spent all yesterday installing this! We've used spray-in rigid foam for most of our insulation, but bought several packages of the UltraTouch to use for sound dampening around our mechanical room, and in the ceilings of downstairs rooms where people will be walking above. I agree it's a great product - much easier to work with than fiberglass, although it's dustier than the marketing leads you to believe. We didn't need gloves, but still had to work with dust masks and glasses to keep fine dust and fluff from getting everywhere. Click my name for a link to our blog, which has more pics of the install.
