Today Treehugger sings the praises of Maplex, a new sustainable product featured at ICFF this year. Since the Treehugger folks were there and we weren't, we'll use their words, not ours:

"Maplex is a plain brown board that comes in different thicknesses and two forms, C for maximum bending and forming; P for strength and stability. It doesn't look like much at first, but it is made from 100% natural fibres from sustainably managed forests.
It is manufactured using nothing but water, pressure and heat- 'the inherent bonding properties of cellulose eliminate the need for any binders.' It is completely nontoxic and biodegradable. It can be moulded, bent, painted, stained or waxed. Maplex P has twice the bending strength and tensile strength of birch plywood. Did we mention that we liked this a lot?"
The Maplex brand is owned by Weidmann, a Vermont-based fiber products manufacturer since 1877.

They have cute designs there...I believe their materials is made from top of the line products...Simple yet long lasting.
I believe most house holds were already in need with this kind of
products.
It gradually becomes a household necessity secondary to a vehicle and its auto parts like the Audi 200 Quattro spark plug wire.
