We've long looked to Rocky Mountain Hardware for the really high-quality stuff that makes a house feel really, really nice.
Before, we've blogged their vertical paper towel holder, shown left. It's a particularly elegant way to accomodate our own not-so-green vice. But until today we had no idea the company was green.
Indeed, they've got a whole green initiative. They're using recycled bronze in their products (certified to be at least 72% recycled), and they're finishing construction on a new factory that's designed to be LEED Gold certified.
Rocky Mountain's doorknobs, window hardware, towel bars, and other bits of metal you need to make a house work are individually cast, available in a wide variety of finishes, and weighty. You'll be reminded of the quality every time you go through a door or reach for a towel -- a cloth one, of course!

Hmmm, is that really 215 bucks? how about using a TP holder and mounting that vertically?

I checked out the site and found a horizontal PT holder for $678 including designer escuteons. I'm not sure who the designer is, but I'm thinking Picasso at that price!
