Tell us about your outdoor project and how you enjoy it: My sister Anne who just lives 2 doors away from this property spotted it when it went for sale. She got very excited because she knew it had the potential to be a bit of green in the midst of this new condo development. It's hidden from neighbors and has a wonderful cool view. In front is a small park and basketball court which is I call my "alternative gym" when I come home for holidays. I live in London and this is my holiday home. I wanted to create something unique, contemporary, and low-maintenance... How did you create it?
I am lucky to have a nephew who is an architect. He designed the fence and service area. My mom did most of the planting. It's still a work in progress mostly because I only go home once a year, and I'm really only prepared to do small jobs like repainting the iron fence. But I'm also planning a balcony in both the back and front of the house.
