My Great Outdoors: Eileen's Long-Awaited Outdoor Sink

Tell us about your outdoor project and how you enjoy it: When friends of ours upgraded their kitchen we became the proud owners of their old sink which was original to the house. I've always wanted an outdoor sink and I thought "What better sink to use than this vintage beauty that I had been coveting for over eighteen years?" The outdoor sink now comes in handy for quick wash-ups outside. It's used as a potting table, a plant stand, and as a wet bar for parties and barbecues..

How did you create it?
My husband and his brother built a base for the sink on our deck. Then my husband added some decorative trim to the base, primed and painted it, and hooked up the sink to the hose line.

This particular project has been something I've been yearning to have for years, and as usual, it is my partner that made my dream come true.
