News: Clorox Goes Green?

We were surprised when we heard, a month or so ago, that Clorox had purchased long-time greenies Burt's Bees. Then, last week, we were even more surprised when we stumbled on a web site for Clorox's new line of green cleaning supplies.

Clorox Green Works (which will be released in January 2008) promises ingredients that are sustainable, non-allergenic and biodegradable.

This is significant for a number of reasons.

Legitimate green cleaning supplies are cool ... and, readily available green cleaning supplies are really, really cool.

Clorox is a cleaning giant, which means these products will (hopefully) be everywhere, and maybe, just maybe, more than a few people who associate the name "Clorox" with a dependable cleaning supplies will give a new green product a try.

We're optimistic and can't wait to try these products, and blog them, of course (anything that lists coconut as an ingredient is OK in our book).

If you get a chance to test them out before us, let us know what you think.
