Catch Green Extreme Makeover at ABC.com

We've actually never seen a full episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. And, because we were driving home from Yosemite last night, we missed their "green" special.

However, we've watched this clip (hint: click Sneak Peek: EMHE 10/28) at least 5 times, and we're planning to watch the whole episode on ABC's Full Episode Player, as soon as it's been uploaded (hopefully, by this evening).

The Yazzie Family's story looks like it will be quite inspirational.

From the clip, we can tell you this much: After the family's coal burning heater began making his younger sister sick, Garrett Yazzie built a solar water and house heater out of 69 soda cans and an old car radiator. He was 13 at the time.

Now, the crew from EM:HE is apparently going to build this family a full-on green home so that they can move out of their tiny trailer.

We can't wait to see the rest of the story.

Did anyone catch the episode last night? Thoughts?

Just watched it myself on abc online. The young man. Garrett, is wise beyond his teenage years. The solar panel became a piece of easily recognizable art in the family's foyer. I was astounded by the possibilities brewing inside this young man. Any folks out there need engineering/science interns, you may want to contact abc to find out how to get ahold of this creative "Junkyard Genius." The house is fab...uses gray water and creates enough electricity to share with the neighbors.

You'll need tissue.
