It's modern, it's green, and it's contributing to the rebuilding of the Ninth Ward in New Orleans. It's the Holy Cross project by Global Green. The project was just announced and it's backed by actor and architecture aficionado Brad Pitt.

The first house of the project is underway and progress shows the house will generate its own electricity with solar panels and is being built with green products. Brad Pitt sponsored the design competition that spurred the project. The completed project will include 5 single family houses and a multi-unit building of 18 residences.
