We just caught wind of some pretty interesting news about green building. If you have an interest in the subject, or wonder if all the current hype is justified, then you should definitely take a look at a recent post over at Ecogeek.
According to Ecogeek, "a report put out by the tri-national (US, Canada and Mexico) Commission for Environmental Cooperation has determined that building greener buildings would do more for the environment than any other single measure."
This is pretty huge news because, as Ecogeek explains, this means we already have the technology (energy efficient lighting, appliances, etc.) to make the improvements that could dramatically and positively affect the planet.
It's all about putting that technology to work.

I agree with the idea of making all new housing "green" but I also think homeowners have a responsibility to make as many green changes to their house as they can.

the prices for eco-friendly houses need to come down . . . . . livinghomes.net have pre-fab homes, which are suppose to be cheaper, but damn . . . they're expensive!
