When we posted photos of Humboldt Park the other day, AT reader Carey linked to a documentary she's making about Jens Jensen, designer of Humboldt and other west side Chicago parks (including Garfield Park Conservatory, shown above). As one of the first 20th century ecologists, Jensen introduced native landscaping to Chicago long before it was considered eco-friendly. We watched a preview, and the film looks great!
