According to KVUE's Consumer Reports, "Tests found that bamboo has gotten much tougher." The bamboo samples tested actually outperformed the hardwoods--and this is against a battery of tests that ranged from every spill imaginable to simulated foot traffic to dent-ability.

The top-rated floor was something we're familiar with here at Re-Nest: EcoTimber's Strand Woven Bamboo in Honey. It outperformed the competitors and comes in at $5.50 a square foot.

That said, this is not a traditional bamboo floor; instead of being solid bamboo, this is shredded bamboo that has been woven back together and sealed with a resin (which has an EQ Rating of 4.4 but still may contain low-emitting formaldehyde products). It's LEED certified compliant and is overall a sustainable choice.
