We've been meaning to see it for months now.

King Corn is a documentary that follows two best friends as they move to Iowa where they plant and grow an acre of corn.
The film explores farm subsidies, genetically modified seeds, nitrogen fertilizers, herbicides and what has been called the industrial food complex. From the website: "What they find raises troubling questions about how we eat -- and how we farm."
We've heard that, in the spirit of Supersize Me, it's both funny and serious.
Check PBS for local screening times.

I highly recommend this movie. I got to see it and talk to one of the filmmakers. It's serious, funny and not overly simplistic in viewing these issues and yet it tells the story in a very personal way. Very well done and I hope will be widely viewed by city folks and country folks alike.
