Eco-Friendly Stress Relief: Heat Pillows

02_05_09_relaxpillows.jpgIt's been one of those weeks at the office, and we're starting to feel it in our necks. So while scouring the Internet looking for ways to reduce stress, we stumbled across an array of handmade heat pillows that'll soak the tension right out of our shoulders.

Here's a neck wrap made from reclaimed fabric and filled with locally harvested lavendar and flaxseed.

Or what about this rounded pillow, knit from recycled cotton and filled with, you guessed it, lavender.

We also found this cherrystone pillow, encased in organic cotton covers (available in the UK).

And in case we need more than just neck and shoulder relief, there's the Eco*Flex Heating/Cooling Pillow, which is larger than the others and is available with or without lavender.

We're feeling relaxed just thinking about these. The only down side to a heat pillow is the fact that most are heated in the microwave... but that's a detail we're willing to look past. What do you think?

These are really useful. I have one that I put under bread dough to help it rise. I also put one in a cooler (along with a hot water bottle) when I am making yogurt. Handy!
