The Bags on Board brand makes only 100% biodegradeable bags so you can buy their dispenser already loaded up with the biodegradeable bags. They are also more widely available (petco, petsmart, and pretty much every other pet store i've ever been to) and cost less.

They even make a retractable leash that has a built in dispenser.

My cute little bone shaped bag holder broke the second time I used it, when I swung around and hit it against a door. :( Cheap plastic, wouldn't buy it again and anyway, what's wrong with pockets?

Too bad the bags are translucent - For both the person who picks it up and the person who walks past someone with a translucent bag of poop.

Here in Germany, our great doggie stations have these nifty bags.Made from recycled material, bio-degradable, and no touching any waste even through plastic.

i have always wondered if it's better to pick up with newspaper (2 layers is usually enough for my pup's poo), with re-used plastic bags (our neighborhood is littered with circulars in them) or with these bio-bags. anyone have an answer?

I won't start buying them till all the circulars stop littering the streets with plastic bags. What happened to the rubber band? It rarely rains in San Francisco and so many homes have staircases that provide shelter, why do we need newspapers in plastic bags?

When I was a kid I "re-used" the rubber bands to make Chinese jump ropes and now I "re-use" the plastic bags to pick up dog poop. The jump rope was a lot more fun.

These look wonderful! And, the company's website also lists bags for used diapers! Combined with gdiapers or other biodegradable diapers, this looks to be the perfect way to carry home (and compost) my babies wet diapers. I can't wait to try it!

I use Pooch Pick-Up bags (made by Kyjen?). They're partially made from cornstarch and have nice handles to make tying the bag off easy. They are also green so no one has to see you carrying dog poop down the street. They have a scented variety for those that like that. And at less than $6 for 100 (unscented) bags, it's economical.

But I'm going to look for those BioBags...I haven't seen them before.

I've been wondering for some time if "Bags on Board" are too good to be true because they feel just like plastic but claim to be biodegradable. It turns out they are plastic with additives to make them photodegrade faster. So they break down into microscopic particles of plastic, still toxic to the environment.

BIOBAGS are cornstarch and are the real deal. But beware of using them in the snow! Snow poop made one start to break down immediately while I was still out with the dog!

I pick up dog poop after my yorkie. It's faily easy with a flushable dog pop bags that I use everyday. Google "flushable dog poop bags" and check out yourself.
