If you don't want an unsightly cat bed sitting out in the middle of your living room, why not put it in your closet? We know our cats would probably like it better that way anyhow!

The Kittywalk Closet Sleeper ($69.95) makes the most of the unused space in your closet -- always a good thing if you're trying to live an organized life in a tiny apartment.
Our cats are already obsessed with hanging out in our closet, so we're imagining that they might love this. It simply hangs from the clothing rod -- with adjustable straps so you can keep it just under the jackets and just above the shoes.
The only problem -- we're not sure if this would mean more or less cat hair on our clothes?

glad my cat isn't the only weirdo who prefers the dark of the closet to the warm sunny spots elsewhere. i'll continue to let her curl up in her favorite place, though... the laundry bin i keep in the closet. hey, at least the clothes in there are already headed to the wash!

I would be afraid my cat would break this and take my closet it down with all 16lbs of him.

I'm not sure I like this idea. I guess it's kind of clever, but any "bed" I buy never gets used; the cats sleep on unlikely surfaces of their own choosing. In the closet our cats prefer sleeping on top of a dirty laundry hamper or on top of a suitcase. They do like the beanbag I bought, but I did not buy it for them, you see.
