The New Organic by Stanley Ruiz

ruizbowl090408.jpgGoing out on a limb—quite literally—designer Stanley Ruiz works a creative combination of branches and metal for a modern-meets-folk look, and plaster with post-consumer waste to create spooky Gothic vases…

vasesruiz090408.jpgStanley Ruiz, a Philippines native, draws inspiration from the handmade as well as from his Southeast Asia roots. The pieces were on display recently at the New York International Gift Fair, where he was part of the “A+: The Young Designer’s Platform.” He created the latest collection with handpicked twigs. In the past, he’s done something similar but with jewelry, like this ring.
