Electronics Recycling at All Best Buy Stores Nationwide

RecyclingFlower.jpg

After posting about free television recycling in DC last week, we were delighted to get an email from Best Buy announcing the expansion of its free electronics recycling program to all Best Buy stores nationwide. Though there are some limitations, we applaud this effort on the part of a big box store to help its customers become more eco-friendly...

Best Buy's new consumer products recycling program accepts everything from TVs and computers to CD and DVD players. Though the recycling is free for most products, there is a $10 charge for TVs, CRTs, monitors and laptops which is offset with a $10 gift certificate for a future purchase at Best Buy. Customers can drop off two products per day for recycling.

Best Buys's in-store recycling will not accept console TVs or TVs large than 32", electronics containing freon, or appliances; see Best Buy's Greener Together website for more information on recycling these items.
