if you don't want to call them individually, use somebody like greendimes. and when you buy stuff in the store, tell them you don't want catalogs. most big chains now can do that for you on the spot

This is a great resource for folks who receive multiple copies of catalogs or get unsolicited catalogs. Their database of catalogs is slowly growing, so if they don't have the ones listed you submit, they will notify you when they have been added to their database.. Preety nifty, although many people just sign up for the Direct Marketing Association Junk Mail Removal Service..

With everything (mostly!) available online for browsing, I've canceled almost every catalog but Ikea's and DWR's. I don't get them much at home since I moved, so it wasn't a big job.
