Recycling Frame from Matteriashop

11-4-2009recycle.jpgThis Recycling Frame from Matteriashop isn't going to work for those of us who have mastered the take-your-own-reusable-bag-to-the-store routine. But we can't help but like it. And we know there are plenty of people who are still toting their groceries home in plastic or paper bags, so this could be a nice solution for them.

The recycling frame (35.00EUR) is made from 30% recycled steel and is 100% recyclable. We love how little of it there actually is—just enough to hold up a paper bag and turn it into a perfectly neat little recycling bin. Use a plastic bag and, voila, it could be a trash can.

The fact that it's made from steel, makes us think it will last quite awhile. Just long enough until you break the grocery bag habit. Then, when you do, you can just recycle this baby, or find some other creative way to reuse it.

That's a pretty great idea...much nicer looking than just tying it to the nearest doorknob. But I wonder if one could DIY it with a wire hanger or something, $70 seems a bit much.
