Salvation Army Pick Up

We may have sold a lot of things at our stoop sale, but at the end of the day there were still two end tables, one bag of clothes, and two boxes of kitchen stuff. We wanted to donate it, but we don't have a car, and we weren't too thrilled about spending $10 dollars on a taxi.

So we dialed up the Salvation Army—which picked it up for us!

It turns out that the Salvation Army, schedules pick ups if you have two large pieces of furniture or three bags of clothes. So we called 1-800-728-7825, and scheduled a pick up for three days later. While you can't arrange a specific time (it's anywhere from 8-4), two very capable men arrived around 8:15 am. It was a little early for our standards, but certainly better than waiting around all day. Plus, they came right in to the apartment and hauled it away for us. No heavy lifting required!
