This weekend in Los Angeles we peeked into 10 homes as part of Dwell on Design's home tours. There was one home in particular that we saw on Saturday that struck us because it worked within the existing structure and really, isn't being green partially about finding ways to reuse and repurpose what is already there? By making subtle changes to the interior, a modern home is created from the bones of a traditional one. We get the sense of space and clean lines reminiscent of a Case Study homewithout tearing down an older home...










It looks like a great place but I would dislike having to crane my neck to watch telly.

What's with the metal edging on the shelves and beams? I don't think it quite achieves the effect they were going for.
