FLOR's Halloween Rugs:Green or Ghastly?

We really like FLOR -- they have a great return and recycle program, and they make beautiful carpet squares and rugs. We've even fallen for the look of these new Halloween-themed rugs.

However, we've got some issues with them ...

Is buying a rug that is used only one time a year a very green choice? We could almost go either way on this one -- we're willing to be convinced.

On one hand we think the Funny Bones Rug ($129.99) could easily be used year-round in a kid's room -- especially a kid with a budding interest in skateboarding or rock guitar. And, if you took good care of the Trick or Treat Rug ($119.99) and used it every October for the rest of your life, that would be OK ... we guess?

But we much prefer seasonal, compostable holiday decor -- pumpkins, multi-colored corn, Fall leaves, etc ...

What do you think?

Love the skull rug but no, I wouldn't do it. Maybe if I had a place big enough where I could trot out things to be used once a year... but then, that wouldn't be very green either, so never mind.

most seasonal purchases are silly IMO.

Ghastly? Oh that's too kind. A SCULL rug?
