Recycling FLOR

Out with the Old. With the end of spring cleaning in sight, we are really noticing how awful our 4-year-old FLOR tiles look. We were early adapters to FLOR and our tiles have seen heavy use (including some Chihuahua-rounded corners). After individually cleaning them in early spring they looked immensely better. But now, better isn't quite cutting it. We're thinking that they will need to be disposed of in the near future. With their progressive stance on eliminating waste, we assumed FLOR would have an alternative to throwing them out for the trash...

First, we checked their website and after some initial confusion landed on this page. We called the number and after a brief conversation with customer service learned that when we were ready to dispose of FLOR, we should contact them and they will send us shipping labels (and packaging if we need it) for the number of tiles we have. The boxed and labeled tiles can be dropped off at any UPS store for shipment back to FLOR.

We're excited that it will be easy to do the right thing. Kudos to FLOR for embracing the Cradle to Cradle manifesto!
