Worldwide Darkness doesn't seem to be getting the press that Earth Hour got earlier this year -- but that doesn't mean we aren't going to participate.
The organizers of Worldwide Darkness would like you to turn off your lights for 10 minutes tonight -- from 9:50 to 10pm in your local time zone. They're calling it a worldwide campaign "to save the world by saving energy."
We're calling it a good excuse to have a few moments of peace and quiet and candlelight. And, we can't think of any good reason not to turn the lights out for a bit. Heck -- we might turn the lights off for a whole hour.
We're going to light a few soy candles and either play a game of scrabble or just sit and talk and enjoy the darkness.
