We're not all that talented with a needle and thread, but we do aspire towards real sewing prowess. It's a useful (and we'd argue, green) skill -- and one that isn't nearly as valued today as it was, say, 30 years ago. It's a shame!
That's why, for the second year in a row, we're all jazzed up about Sew, Mama, Sew's Handmade Holiday series. In fact, we're already planning a trip to the fabric store ...
Throughout the month of November, the brilliant crafters at Sew, Mama, Sew! will be posting gift ideas, along with tutorials and products to help people give handmade this holiday season.
They're only a week into the series, but we've already spied a couple of tempting projects. (The camera case and iPod case above are definite possibilities.)
A passport sleeve for globetrotting friends.
A handmade belt -- perfect for a teenager with funky fashion sense.

i LOVE these ideas. Thanks so much for posting them. I'm really embracing the idea of homemade or handmade gifts.
