Volunteers Needed to Tend Slow Food Nation Victory Garden in San Francisco

6_24_2008-sfnvictorygarden.jpgLike to garden? Live in or near San Francisco? Want to make a strong statement about the Slow Food movement?

Help out Slow Food Nation and Victory Gardens 2008+ with their massive, highly visible project: planting a productive garden in front of San Francisco's City Hall. (We'd pitch in ourselves, but we have our hands full with moving and a nascent garden of our own... though we might take pitch in for a day, if only to learn what can still be planted in July in the Bay Area.)

Gardening starts July 1; the garden opens to the public on July 12. Volunteers are needed to help create and to tend the garden through September. Check out this page for the details.
