Perfect Perch by James Chu

10-29-2008chu.jpgWe're normally pretty critical of cardboard furniture. A) It often looks like cardboard. And B) even though it's recyclable, we'd usually advocate spending more money on something that will last.

However, we're warming up to James Chu's Perfect Perch.

10-29-2008chu2.jpgHere's why: The Perfect Perch, with its gold paisley and modern gray patterns, is actually attractive. Also, it was originally designed with college students in mind -- college students who would be buying cheap, temporary furniture anyway. We'd take an easily recyclable, good looking Perch over a bean bag chair that gets chucked in a landfill any day. Do you agree?

It looks like the Perch is only available in the UK right now -- it's £12. (Chu's website doesn't seem to be working today -- but you can check back later here.)

What's the weight limit on those things? I can see how they'd be cute for youngsters, waif-like hipsters or the 2 lovely ladies in the above pic, but I don't see how it could support my 200 lbs of curvaceous woman body.
