Simple Green: Choose Eco-Friendly Services

09_09_09_greenservices.jpgWhile stuck in traffic yesterday, we noticed one car of the fleet for a locally-owned pest control service. The car touted chemical-free, organic pest control and had one other special detail: it was a hybrid vehicle. Now that's a company we'd feel good turning to because their commitment to being green was highly evident. And that got us thinking...

It's a very simple green move just to support the local businesses who make an effort toward sustainability. As Kyle pointed out last week, green plumbers are cropping up all over the place. Now that more and more folks are concerned about doing better things for the environment, home repair services are marketing to that.

So the next time your faucet springs a leak, or you've got an uncontrollable bee population taking up residence under the eaves, or you've got to turn to a remodeling company for a big project... Do your homework and find the green option in your city.

I'd love any recommendations for green house-cleaning services in the Bay Area.
