You know those air cell packaging things that come in long strips with a perforated line between each cell? Well, the unpacking still continues...

...And I was putting away some purses. Some of them were a little flattened, because they're not spring chickens--and because I've left them in a box for a few weeks now.

Anyhow, I had some of those air cell things nearby, so I stuffed 'em in and zipped up the purses. Voilà! Now the packing material is being reused and my purses can stay in shape while they're sitting on my closet shelf.

We think this is a fantastic way to green your closet in two ways: first, of course, by creatively reusing those pesky packing materials to stuff the purses... And second, stuffing the bags keeps them in better shape and therefore (unless one has a bit of a handbag obsession, anyway) they won't need to be replaced as often.

The same thing could be done with packing peanuts (maybe kept at bay in recycled plastic bags) or even paper stuffing that would otherwise find its way into the recycling bin.
